More delay in counselling for Eamcet (Engineering/B.Pharm), Icet (MBA/MCA), Edcet (B.Ed), Lawcet (law courses) etc.
There is very little hope of commencing counselling for professional courses in the near future, due to the volatile situation in Seemandhra region. Half of the total 60 counselling centres are located in Seemandhra and the staff too are boycotting their duties, demanding a united AP.
Counselling schedules for Eamcet engineering/B.Pharm, Icet (MBA/MCA), Edcet (B.Ed), Lawcet (law courses) etc. have been kept on hold. Only medical/dental courses have been spared.
The AP State Council of Higher Education on Monday wrote to the government seeking ‘guidance’ on how to proceed in this issue. As per the original schedule, the three rounds of counselling should have been completed by July 31, but not even the first round has been initiated so far. Officials tried to commence MBA/MCA counselling this week, but that too was put on hold
